Program Overview

Join us for an immersive 8-day cultural and educational experience in Costa Rica, a country renowned for its commitment to sustainability and its rich biodiversity. This program offers students the opportunity to explore the natural beauty and vibrant culture of Costa Rica while engaging with local businesses and learning about the country's unique history and traditions.

Students must be enrolled in Spanish 1411, Business 3333, Sociology 1306, Humanities 1302 or Culinary 1445 in Spring 2024.

  • Coffee Industry Insight: Visit a coffee farm in Tarrazú and learn about the coffee production process.
  • Political and Social Discussions: Engage with local experts at the Electoral Tribunal of Costa Rica and Saprissa Futbol Club.
  • Tourism and Marketing: Discussions with the Chamber of Tourism and visits to a local chocolate factory and JBQ Agency.
